CONTEXT
The primary intention behind "Take a <br/>" is to prompt contemplation on the merging boundaries between our tangible reality and online personas. This interactive piece encourages introspection into the similarities and disparities between our digital avatars and our corporeal beings. By confronting these dual aspects, the aim is to decipher the implications of existing in a digital-centric age.
Initially conceived as a projection of ASCII art onto the curtains, the team discovered that the impact and illumination of the projection were not as compelling as desired. Consequently, the decision was made to utilize the screen itself for displaying the ASCII representations, ensuring a more pronounced and captivating effect. The installation goes beyond the confines of the exhibition space, spilling onto the streets to captivate the curiosity of passersby and potentially inviting them to interact with the installation.
